Fusion Capture and DefCaptureX3 for Sage X3 

Defacto Solutions Limited is pleased to announce an agreement where and Datel Computing has acquired the full intellectual property (IP) rights for Fusion Capture and DefCaptureX3 for Sage X3 from Defacto.

This acquisition allows significant investment in the continued development of the Fusion Capture suite and enables Datel to take full ownership of Fusion Capture’s future direction, ensuring seamless integration with Sage X3 and long-term product stability for customers. 

The acquisition also allows Defacto to focus its resources on our Sage Line 500 and Sage 1000 products and assisting our customers with on-going projects, helping with migration planning towards the Sage products End of Life and ensuring continued quality and attention to our core solutions.

Defacto Third Party Logistics Solutions

Defacto's Third Party Logistics module, Def3PL, means ERP users can integrate their distrubutions processes with out-sourced warehousing operations.

Def3PL provides supply chain unification solutions to enable a wide variety ERP users to quickly link to out-sourced warehousing facilities.

Automatically synchronise ERP data with off-site service such as DHL Manhattan and specialist temperature controlled storage and transport such as Reed Boardall.

The solution is configurable and can operates at several levels, from simple warehouse despatch through to full Receipt/Picking/Returns and Inventory management, product take-on and obsolescence.

Based on a library of web/service and API calls to functionality can be quickly extended to add custom requirements.

Def3PL also seamlessly inter-operates with Defacto’s WMS DefCapture for the Sage 1000 and Sage Line 500 products allowing on-premise warehouse support fully integrated with out-sourced warehousing options.

Defacto Warehouse solutions also offer direct integration with major carrier services including Royal Mail, DX, FEDEX, UPS, DPD and Metapack. Links to European carriers including GLS.

Defacto Confirms Subscription Pricing Model

Defacto has confirmed that subscription pricing for modules and upgrades is available for its range of Line 500 and Sage 1000 products.   This is aimed at helping businesses continue to make improvements and increase operational efficiencies in parallel with planning for ERP migrations.   "Subscription pricing has enabled us to add features at a monthly cost option to remain competitive while our future ERP options are explored."

Other services are available from Defacto to help prepare for future ERP migration including modules to help tidy up and rationalize data, ERP-agonistic solutions that connect to Sage Line 500 and 1000 now and for which Defacto is offering upgrades and connectors to latest ERP solutions.

Defacto has confirmed support and maintenance options to January 2025 and beyond and will continue to offer options for Line 500 and Sage 1000 alongside newer products.

Following the announcement from Sage of the End of Life for its Line 500 and Sage 1000 products on 31 December 2024, these product have moved to extended life support.   This means that these Sage products can continue to be used with a Licence to Use but there will be no updates, legal or fiscal changes, bug fixes or help desk support and there will be increased security risks.

 

Defacto has continued to offer full support since 31 December 2024 for its products which run on Line 500 and Sage 1000.   This does not include support for the underlying Sage product.

Defacto is working with its Sage Partners to provide a plan tailored to each end user and aligned to ensuring the end user is successful in migrating from the Sage product and our products before the Sage end of life. 

From 1 January 2026 Defacto is offering a Licence to Use facilty to allow end users of the Defacto products to acquire a licence to run their Defacto products to 31 December 2029.   This means end users can plan their migration while secure in the knowledge that their Defacto products will continue to operate until the Sage End of Life of 31 December 2029.  The Licence to Use facilty offers a lower cost and is suitable for customers who no longer make use of the services of the Defacto Help Desk.
