Sage ERP 1000 and Line 500 Downloads
Defacto offers support cover for every module it ships, subject to the life of the underlying Sage product.
Sage has announced the End of Life for its Line 500 and Sage 1000 products and Defacto is working with its Sage Partners to provide a support plan tailored to each end user and aligned to ensuring the end user is successful in migrating from the Sage product and our product before that end of life.
We provide technical advice on product use and we will help you try to resolve operating difficulties. Our team of application and systems specialists is trained in the complete Defacto portfolio.
Support is available to clients via our Help Desk from Monday to Friday 10.00 to 16.00, excluding statutory holidays and our Christmas shutdown.
Software maintenance which is also organized through the Sage Partner network provides the Sage Partner with the services and tools necessary to support the end user business.
As part of the maintenance process we will issue service packs as necessary which will include remedies and minor enhancements. These updates include all current legislation changes and businesses can also benefit from major enhancements which introduce exciting new functionality.
We also warrant modular software upgrades to the latest version of Sage Line 500 and Sage 1000 subject to licensing and installation requirements so you can be sure your investment in Defacto software is protected.

Following the announcement from Sage of the End of Life for its Line 500 and Sage 1000 products on 31 December 2024, these product have moved to extended life support. This means that these Sage products can continue to be used with a Licence to Use but there will be no updates, legal or fiscal changes, bug fixes or help desk support and there will be increased security risks.
Defacto has continued to offer full support since 31 December 2024 for its products which run on Line 500 and Sage 1000. This does not include support for the underlying Sage product. Defacto is working with its Sage Partners to provide a plan tailored to each end user and aligned to ensuring the end user is successful in migrating from the Sage product and our products before the Sage end of life. From 1 January 2026 Defacto is offering a Licence to Use facilty to allow end users of the Defacto products to acquire a licence to run their Defacto products to 31 December 2029. This means end users can plan their migration while secure in the knowledge that their Defacto products will continue to operate until the Sage End of Life of 31 December 2029. The Licence to Use facilty offers a lower cost and is suitable for customers who no longer make use of the services of the Defacto Help Desk. Please contact Defacto for further details. |
