KPI Scorecards from Defacto provides integration to build standard KPI lists directly from the Sage host system and to present visualizations of any aspect of business performance managed by Sage. Custom KPIs can be created using the underlying analysis services and presented directly as part of an existing or new scorecard or dashboard.

Standard KPI scorecards including the classical Financial, Customer and Internal Perspectives can be created along with views on Customer Service, Quality Management, and Vendor Relationship measures.

CAD Integration with Sage

Link your Drawing Office with the ERP system and bring your CAD Bills of Material directly in Sage. Eliminate re-keying and save time and errors.

Bill of material information is regularly generated as part of the design process which is increasing achieved using a CAD or PDM platform. That same BOM data is valuable to the MRP and Product Planning system and invariably available by interrogating the CAD system.

The Flexible Bill of Materials Import module from Defacto provides a simple one-stop easily configured interface for integrating your CAD system to Sage and can be used with the Sage Line 500 and 1000 Bills of Materials or Product Management module.

The product has been used successfully to link Sage Line 500 with a number of CAD packages including AutoCAD, Cadnetix, TurboCad and Pro/Engineer and to also import legacy information from systems such as MAAPICS.

The module can handle user defined flat file formats with either delimited fields (CSV for example) or fixed width columns. A direct SQL interface is also available subject to the capabilities of the CAD system.

Within the module options are available to create assemblies, load and update component lists to existing assemblies and create new stock items automatically during the import run. Single-level and multi-level bills can be accommodated. All data items created conform to the Sage business rules. Full validation and audit functions are provided in report and diagnostic format.

For more sophisticated interfaces, the Defacto Universal Import module is also available. As well as providing similar Inventory, BOM and Route imports, this system also supports the creation, issuing and completion or works orders, various inventory transactions and a series of functions for managing sales order allocation and purchasing.

Defacto also supplies a WIP Tracking interface which allows Sage to be updated from Time Clock systems for clocking on and off of jobs at works centres and can form the hub of a shop floor data capture solution. The WIP Tracking also supports bar coding and real-time posting if required through the DefCapture module.

Defacto has been working with the Sheffield Primary Care Trust to develop a software solution to help the PCT analyse the effect of community care in the prevention of Long Term Illness including Coronary Heart Disease, Heart Failure, Stroke, Diabetes and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

One of the aims of Chronic Disease Management is to introduce a schedule of preventative care with the simple objective of reducing the number of acute events and hospital admissions. Each admission is expensive, so significant savings can be made by addressing problems and managing patient welfare to the point where admissions are reduced.

The Hippocrates product developed by Defacto using Microsoft tools manages the nurses’ diaries and audits patient progress and provides valuable analysis in report and immediate on-screen format.

MRP Rescheduling

Automatically update Sage Works Orders and Purchase Orders from MRP Rescheduling Recommendations

The Sage Material Requirements Planning module makes recommendations to raise new orders and provides a start-to-finish system for printing, adjusting and raising the new orders.

The Sage system is also capable of making reschedule recommendations including:

Increase order quantity

Decrease order quantity

Expedite required date

Delay required date

Cancel order

Once the recommendations have been made they can be printed.

The Defacto Action MRP Reschedule Recommendations module provides additional functionality to support the automatic adjustment of works orders and purchase orders according to the recommended changes.

The option provides selection criteria allowing the choice of five types of adjustment for either works order or purchases orders of both. The selection recommendations are then displayed and options to hold or approve a single recommendation or all recommendations are available.

Once the recommendations have been approved the system will automatically update the works order and purchase order and change the quantities and dates as specified maintaining the due in and allocation records on the inventory system.

The default hold and approve status functionality is available to mimic the Sage Raise Orders function.

The list of adjustments which have been made can be printed. In addition, an Audit File is also produced recording the changes made. The Audit File can then be used to provide interfaces to external parties such as a driver for EDI export, a link to shop floor systems or source data for a web-based supplier portal.

If the Enhanced POP module also from Defacto is deployed, the price for purchase order lines can be automatically adjusted according to qty-price break tables to ensure that the buying-power is used to minimize costs. Purchase Order can also be reprinted with the revisions high-lighted using the Purchase Order Revision Control features of the module.
